My collection of basket bags draws inspiration from the exquisitely woven African baskets, especially the remarkable ones from Ghana. I have always been enchanted by their intricate patterns, distinctive shapes, and functionality.

Inspiration comes in many ways. Nature has been a constant source, like the swirl of unfurling fern, a blooming flower or even the intricacy of a spiderweb. I'm inspired by culture, or just about anything, as long as it moves me to create.

The first thing that I imagine when choosing materials is how it will feel being shaped in my hands. I then consider how I want the piece to be structured; how I want it to flow. Some pieces require a softer metal like aluminium, while others need the firmness of a harder, gold-filled wire.

I want every person that wears a Chrissy's Coils piece to feel so confident, like they just put on the finishing piece that they need to conquer the world! I also want them to feel like they have chosen themselves, because they chose to take that moment to adorn themselves, making them feel even more confident and beautiful than before. I just want them to feel beautiful.
